After mating, female common octopus finds a safe area to lay her eggs and tend to them for about 50 days! This photo depicts a female Octopus with her mature, soon to be hatched eggs. This photo not only shows the nurturement of the female octopus to her eggs, but how her tentacles tenderly cares for each egg. Sadly, she will sadly pass due to not eating while standing guard protecting her eggs.
